1962 SHELBY SKYRIDER MENS TANK BIKE RED AMF B6 TYPHOON VINTAGE ROADMASTER TANKER Click Photos to Enlarge Description Here is an original VINTAGE (I BELIEVE 1962? The serial number is K264637) men’s Shelby SKYRIDER beach cruiser bicycle with 26″ wheels. It is in the original and very appealing RED colored factory paint. If you like UNIQUE unrestored original PAINT bikes, this may be a great bike for you. It was always stored inside in a clean dry area. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! *This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, frame mounted TANK with headlight and lenses, (untested) original screen chainguard, upgraded comfort cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, white hand grips, full “gothic” raised center chrome fenders, cool pedals, rear carrier rack, and more! I LOVE the “Stars” Sprocket! This bike was designed to compete with the Schwinn Jaguar and Panther models. This is one of the nicer looking versions of this bike I have seen!!!!! I dont think this one was ridden much since it was new. (see pics and be your own judge) *These bike are cool, made in USA, and you dont see them often. They were generally made by Murray and could be sold under names such as Rollfast, JC Higgins, Hawthrone, Hiawatha, Jet Fire, etc! Take good care of this and it will only go up in value! *This bike was purchased new locally and had the same owner since new until we got it! HAPPY to offer a bike this cool to you! *The tires are 26×1.75″. They are newer replacement tires do hold air The bike has chrome raised center rims front and rear. *The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) *DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/2″. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28″. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2″. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22 1/2″. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. *NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is not bad for its age! The paint is respectable for a 60+ year old bike! (has chips scratches etc but has survived better than many. See pics. I took many and have nothing to hide!) The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to). This bike is a real deal head turner vintage bike! I hope you love it! If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid. *This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.
