Antique Sterling Silver Fronted Photo Frame Click image to enlarge Description This beautiful frame has a plain sterling silver surround.  This is set on a  green leatherette-covered back with strut stand and the back is lined with white silk.  It is hallmarked for London 1928 with the maker’s mark of Mappin & Webb although this is part-rubbed.  However, the company’s branding also appears on the lining of the frame. The silver is in beautiful condition with only a few tiny kinks to the inner edges but they’re not very noticeable.  However, after 96 years, there are some fine surface abrasions caused through handling.  The covering to the back is also in good condition with just some areas of light rubbing.  The stand and glass are in very good order.  The lining has browned slightly with age. All packages are sent by Royal Mail Signed-For service and have adequate insurance built in to the postage cost. I do not make any profit on postage/insurance costs and don?t charge for packaging.
