I am not in the business of shipping parts to customers 2 day air and then they find out they misdiagnosed their truck and installed the resistor in the PMD. Then find out that the old PMD they are replacing is not defective and is not the cause of their problem. The encoder and the optical sensor on the 6.5L GM injection pump can also give similar symptoms of shut down and hot start issues. Not just the PMD. If you don’t know your PMD is bad please do not buy mine. I ship 2 day Federal Express as I know your truck needs to run and a lot of you make your living out of your truck. If you buy my PMD and resistor and then want to return it the resistor is typically damaged when removed, the PMD is not new. Your PMD will be sent to the manufacturer to be tested. If it is found to be 100% fully functional then it will be returned back to you. If you are using a GREY/GRAY PMD the harness plug in will be different and this PMD will NOT work as delivered. See below on how to modify the harness plug it so that it will work if you want to do the modification. Be sure you confirm which plug end you have on your injection pump so you know this product will plug right it and be ready to operate when you receive it. If you have a later style/type plug in you can take a sharp razor blade and slice off the “keyway” on the plug and it will plug in and work fine so technically you can use this PMD for ANY electronically pump injection 6.5L GM Diesel, if you are willing to just slice off the “keyway”.
