This is an auction for a Rare 1994 “Artist Proof” Goal Line Art postcard of the football hall of famer Ernie Nevers. At the time that I listed this auction, I had either the lowest priced one on eBay or the only one on eBay. This postcard came from the collection of the famous football hall of fame artist Gary Thomas. This postcard is in near-mint/mint condition and will be shipped in a hard top loader which will be taped at the top to protect your investment. I have almost the entire set for sale so let me know if you are looking for any particular players or teams. For the many of you that may not know what an “Artist Proof” postcard is, it will be my pleasure to explain why they are so rare. Ever since 1989 when Goal line art started to produce these incredible postcards, they have taken 50 of each postcard from the run of 5,000 and marked them with an “AP” stamp on the back to signify that these are “Artist Proof” postcards. Each year 25 of these 50 postcards were given to the artist Gary Thomas for his private collection and 25 were kept by the president of Goal line art. Gary Thomas was a close personal friend of mine until his passing on January 18, 2022 which is why I know so much about this beautiful collectable.
