THIS AUCTION IS FOR VINTAGE SCOPE BINOCULARS7 X 50 LENSESAMBER COATED OPTICS MODEL 7805376 FT. at 1000 YDSCARRYING CASELENS CAPS Binoculars or field glasses are two refracting telescopes mounted side-by-side and aligned to point in the same direction, allowing the viewer to use both eyes (binocular vision) when viewing distant objects. Most binoculars are sized to be held using both hands, although sizes vary widely from opera glasses to large pedestal-mounted military models. The numbers on binoculars indicate their specifications. The first number represents the magnification power, and the second number represents the diameter of the objective lenses in millimeters. For example, in 7×50 binoculars, the magnification power is 7 and the diameter of the objective lenses is 50 millimeters. The objective lens size affects the brightness and field of view of the binoculars. When choosing binoculars, it’s important to consider the magnification power and objective lens diameter to ensure that they are suitable for your intended use. Now that you know what these numbers of the marine binoculars mean, now you should know why 7×50 marine binoculars are the most common size for a marine binocular. There are actually three reasons why 7×50 marine binoculars are the most sought kinds: conventional magnification level, large objective lens size, and substantial exit pupil size. The presence of any coatings is typically denoted on binoculars by the following terms: coated optics: Amber lens coatings are particularly beneficial for enhancing contrast and depth perception. They work best in low-light conditions such as cloudy days or during dusk when visibility may be compromised due to reduced natural light levels. Amber lenses filter out blue light that can cause eye strain and help improve sharpness. The diopter is a mechanism that allows you to adjust the focus of the binoculars to compensate for any vision differences between your eyes. They were reputed for producing excellent quality bodies for their binoculars, but they did not make their own lenses. They were known to source lenses from some of the best of Japan’s lens makers, Nikon, Fujinon and Kowa. They produced an ˜Overfield™ 9×35 bino as well as the 7×35™s. The well built ˜Overfield™ 7×50 version which has better eye relief then the ˜Mark IV™ series. They are ˜”collectible” if in good condition. The optics are clear and sharp. Focusing is quick and exact. General cosmetics are still good. They are fully functional. The only apparent blemish, some stitching on the case, above the catch has separated. This can be corrected.
