This kit has never been opened, or assembled with all parts/bits/pieces, detailed official U.S. Air-Force colorful decals, fully detailed assembly instructions/plans & history details of this incredible fighter plane complete inside box! “Kit also includes bonus colorful illustrated detailed tips to build your own diorama!” Details: The Northrop P-61 was the plane that struck the last blow against enemy aircraft in WW2. Each of the twin Pratt & Whitney engines developed over 2,000 hp. It carried a pilot, gunner & radar operator & was armed with four 50 caliber machine guns & four belly-mounted 20mm Cannons. Nearly 50′ long with a wingspan of 66′, it was the heaviest pursuit plane of the United States Air-Force. Kit Details: This model is 12.1/4 ” long when assembled with a 16.1/2″ wide wingspan! It has heavily detailed cockpit, radar, gun compartments & engine nacelle with removable cover plates. The Props spin, machine guns turn & elevate. The kit can be built as a “P-61A” with olive & gray paint scheme as flown by the 9th Air-Force 422nd Night Fighter Squadron. Or as the solid-black “P-61B” flown by Air-Force Major Carroll C. Smith of the 418th Night Fighter Squadron. Just imagine back in the day aye……….. Box cover pictures of this glorious fighter plane are priceless!
