Tag Heuer Aquaracer BA0806 Complete TAG Serviced + light polish Serial Number RMMxxx One of the last great TAG Designs. I have three of these …just a few things that I think make this watch stand out over others: The bracelet links are 5 separate pieces. The bezel is highly polished stainless steel. The dial finish is what’s called Guilloché. I got my first one of these in 2006. Every so often now I find one that is a good candidate for service and case restoration. Kind of a hobby. First, I send it to TAG for service. This one had their service that they call “Maintenance#2.” You’ll see the details on the paperwork. Second, I bring to a dealer I’ve gotten to know and they do what they call a “mini case restoration.” This simply means they give it a light polishing. If you have these polished too aggressively then you can end up softening edges that should remain sharp… like the edge of the bezel, for example. And I also have them regulate the movement more precisely. This watch came out great. I have finally decided to part with it because all I do is look at it now and then. I have 2 others I wear and I didn’t want to scratch this one. It’s time I let it go. Along with the watch I will send the original paperwork from TAG; and also the paperwork from the jeweler. That way you can know the full history – and you won’t have to question who really didi the work. You can even call the Jeweler and talk to my friend John Carter Jr …. he’ll tell you how neurotic I can be about watches. He’d be happy to talk with you. All this, because it’s important to me that are comfortable with acquiring this timepiece from me. If you have any questions at all, please ask. Questions are a good thing. This is about as close to “new” as it gets for one of these older Aquaracers – great watch.
